What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files stored on your computer, tablet or phone when you visit a website. Similar technologies
include pixels, tags and browser storage. They help our website work properly, protect online forms and, with your
permission, measure website traffic and advertising.

Cookies we use

Essential cookies. These cookies help our website function properly, remember your choices, support your placement-
test session and protect our forms from spam. Essential cookies do not require your consent. Related personal data are
processed to provide the service you request or keep our website secure.
Analytics cookies. With your permission, Google Analytics helps us understand how visitors use our website, including
which pages are viewed and how visitors reach us, so we can improve our website.
Advertising cookies. With your permission, Google Ads and Meta Pixel help us understand whether our advertisements
are effective and show information about our English courses to people who may be interested.

Your cookie choices

When you visit our website, you can accept optional cookies, decline them or choose the categories you prefer. Analytics
and advertising cookies are used only after you agree to the relevant category. The legal basis for using these optional
cookies is your consent.
You can change your choices or withdraw consent at any time using the cookie settings on our website. Refusing optional
cookies does not prevent you from taking the placement test or receiving your result.

Cookies and your placement test

When you take our written placement test, we ask for your first name, surname, email address and test answers. Your
score and approximate language level are calculated automatically. The result is also emailed to you and our school.
We may invite you to an optional speaking assessment so that one of our teachers can recommend a suitable course.
Analytics and advertising cookies are not needed to take the test or receive your result. Your contact details, answers,
score and language level are not used as Google Analytics, Google Ads or Meta Pixel tracking data.
Google reCAPTCHA may help protect our forms from spam and misuse. It may process technical information about your
device or browser and use a security cookie.

Information collected through cookies

Depending on the cookies you accept, we may process your IP address, browser and device type, approximate location,
pages viewed, referral source, visit time, advertising interactions and cookie identifiers. We use this information only for
the purposes described in this policy.

Service providers and international transfers

Our website is hosted by Elkdata OÜ (Veebimajutus.ee; registry code 10510593). Depending on your choices, analytics,
advertising or security services may be provided by Google Ireland Limited or Meta Platforms Ireland Limited.
Some service providers may process information outside the European Economic Area. Such transfers are protected by
applicable safeguards, including an adequacy decision or European Commission Standard Contractual Clauses.
